Food Verifier Contract Role, Anywhere in NZ
Are you an MPI recognised person able to verify or evaluate businesses subject to food control plans and/or national programmes? If so then we would be very interested in hearing from you.
This is a contract position for an MPI approved verifier. You will be self-motivated, able to work unsupervised, produce high consistently high quality work and thrive on deadlines and targets. You will be required to maintain your MPI approval with additional training offered to the right candidate.
To be successful in this role you will need to be an MPI recognised verifier under the Food Act 2014, have demonstrated experience with National Programmes and/or template Food Control Plans.
Established in 1997, QEC is a specialised regulatory and technical auditing business, working across the fields of environmental, safety, hazardous substances, food safety and quality management. QEC is a MPI Recognised Agency under the Food Act 2014 .
Whilst the QEC office is based in Te Awamutu, we are seeking verifiers who live anywhere in New Zealand.

Auditor -Hazardous Substance Compliance
QEC is the only IANZ Accredited hazardous substance inspection body in NZ. We assess and certify businesses to store and use hazardous substances safely. We seek a hazardous substance assessor (auditor) to join our team.
In this role you will undertake the following key duties:
Undertake site visits for the purpose of auditing legal compliance for the storage and use of hazardous substances.
Report writing including but not limited to compliance assessment reports, audit reports, and hazardous substance inventory reports.
Support other consultants with their work.
Apply a working knowledge of the hazardous substance regulations, including secondary containment, separation distances, and hazardous atmosphere zones.
This full time role would suit someone who has an outgoing personality, the ability to learn quickly and enjoys a challenging and varied work environment. In addition you will be self motivated, able to work unsupervised, produce consistently high quality work and thrive on deadlines and targets.
To be successful in this role you must have demonstrated experience with auditing, ideally in a regulatory context. Formal auditor training would be advantageous. A tertiary qualification in a science or health and safety related field will assist your application but is not mandatory.
